Real Sociedad are a Spanish football club who feature in the Primera Division. They are two-time winners of La Liga and have also won the Copa del Rey on two occasions, whilst also reaching the last 16 of the Champions League in 2004. Real Sociedad, also known as the Txuri-Urdin, have an established local rivalry with fellow Basque outfit Athletic Club. Historically, their most famous and celebrated players are Alberto Gorriz, Juan Antonio Larranaga, Mikel Aranburu, Xabi Prieto, Jesus Maria Satrustegui, Darko Kovacevic, and Nihat Kahveci. Their most successful head coach is Alberto Ormaetxea who took the club to their consecutive league titles in the 1980s. Their home for over a quarter of a century has been the Anoeta, which has a capacity of 25,000 spectators and is to be developed in 2019.
