Crystal Palace grabbed a 2-2 draw against Leicester City, thanks to a late penalty from Jean-Philippe Mateta. The Eagles displayed decent possession throughout the game, dominating with 67% of the ball. However, they struggled to create clear-cut chances, with only four shots on target. Despite their control, they allowed Leicester to capitalise on their defensive lapses, falling behind twice.

Crystal Palace Player Ratings

Several individual performances stood out from Palace, notably from Tyrick Mitchell and Jean-Philippe Mateta. Mitchell was excellent on the left side, while Mateta's brace kept Palace in the game. Yet, the overall team display lacked the sharpness needed to secure a win, and the Eagles will be disappointed with some defensive mishaps.

Leicester City Player Ratings

Leicester City took advantage of their limited possession, making the most of their opportunities. Jamie Vardy opened the scoring in the first half, and Stephy Mavididi doubled the lead just after the break. Despite only having 33% of the ball, Leicester were clinical, converting two of their four shots on target.

Though the Foxes showed good resilience, especially in defence, with Wout Faes and Victor Kristiansen working hard, they ultimately couldn’t hold on to their lead. Wilfred Ndidi was Leicester's standout performer, dominating in midfield and contributing to their second goal, but late errors cost them the win.

Here are the player ratings for Leicester City:

Best Player of the Match - Wilfred Ndidi

Wilfred Ndidi was outstanding for Leicester City, controlling the midfield and constantly disrupting Crystal Palace’s rhythm. His forward play was instrumental, particularly in setting up Mavididi's goal.
